So far, we only have one tag type on each category card. Tagitize can be much more flexible! It can tag the same category using different tag types depending on the condition of each tag host.
To specify multiple tag types per category, select a card and switch to the Tag Types tab. Next, click the Add Tag Family button to insert new entries into the list. Each entry defines a tag type to use for a certain host condition, such as hosts standing individually or those inside a group.

Note that the notion of Tag Host Groups here is different from the concept of element groups in Revit. Tagitize doesn’t see Revit element groups, it does its own grouping of tag hosts based on your preferences, such as by distance as shown below or by rooms/spaces as we will discuss in one of the upcoming sections.

Back to the Tag Types tab, you can define one tag type per host location type. For most categories, Individual Hosts and Grouped Hosts are the only options.

Certain categories like Columns or Ducts also have the Vertical Hosts option though, which will match tag hosts running perpendicular to the view plane. For example, elements running along the global Z axis if you’re tagging a plan view or ceiling plan.
