It’s often necessary to tag only a subset of elements from each category. For example, only Interior doors and fire-rated walls. With Tagitize, this is easy!
Simply select the card for your Revit category and look under the Tag Hosts tab on its right. There should already be options for category and Tag Linked Elements. Depending on the category, there can be additional filters too, such as Min Length for the Ducts. If you need more default options here, just let us know at support@tagitize.app

One common condition is whether linked elements should be tagged. For example, the below view has linked doors and they aren’t tagged:

To tag linked doors, simply select Yes in the condition on their card:

This will allow tagging both air terminals in the current model and doors from the links simultaneously.

For more granular conditions, such as by specific parameter values and ranges, you can tell Tagitize to use any existing view filters in your model. To select one, click the Add Revit Filter button and then select an existing filter from the menu.

You can even add multiple Revit filters here. Tagitize will only tag elements of the specified category that satisfy all filters you want to add.
If you want to tag elements saved in an existing Revit selection set, that’s possible too! Simply click the Add Selection Set button and pick your set by name:

As the number of conditions increases, note that for an element to be tagged, it will need to satisfy all conditions on its category’s card. If you need an OR condition instead of an AND, add all criteria to a single Revit filter before adding that filter to Tagitize.

Another option is to have different cards for the same category. If you use this method, make sure that:
- Each card gets a unique name, and
- Each element to be tagged only satisfies all conditions from one card. This will make it easier to check any tag that doesn’t appear as desired.

It’s worth noting that Tagitize maintains a live reference to the Revit filter you added here, so if you later update the filter, the app will see and use the latest filter criteria automatically. The same goes for selection sets.
