A common request we get is finding and deleting empty tags that only show as a question mark “?”. With Tagitize, you can do this for either just the active view or multiple views at once. Simply click Find Empty Tags and select an option:

If you pick Multiple Views/Sheets, another window will open to let you select which views to scan for empty tags. Only views added to the bottom table will be checked. You can also import existing view/sheet sets here to speed up the selection process.

After scanning the views, Tagitize will show all found empty tags in the report window below. Here, you can select one or more tags and click Show to see them in context. Be careful in your review because some tags may contain only geometry elements, such as lines or filled regions, so will be seen as “empty” by Tagitize because there’s no text in those tags.

For any tag you can confirm to be empty, just tick the check box on its row. Finally, click Delete Selected to remove these tags from your model:

Note that Find Empty Tags checks all tags of any categories in the view you selected, not just tags relevant to Tagitize’s Tag Settings. Therefore, be careful when reviewing the reported empty tags to only delete what is necessary.
